Sponder-Scope Features

SPONDER-SCOPE allows the technician to see the transponder pulse train, just as it would appear on an oscilloscope. Without all the size, weight, and bother. The Airsport PRO is battery-powered, so it needs no power cord. The Airsport PRO has it's own antenna, so it needs no cables. In fact, the Airsport PRO needs no connections at all! Just carry it on board, and it receives, decodes, and displays the Mode A and Mode C pulses.

With SPONDER-SCOPE it's easy to check those intermittents that only happen in flight! Anytime the transponder is replying, you can see the output. On the ground, the overall size of 5 x 5 x 2 inches makes the PRO usable in the tightest spots.

In Mode A, you can see both the pulses and the squawk code. This provides a quick check of proper transponder operation.

In Mode C, you can see both the pulses and the decoded pressure altitude. This allows easy troubleshooting of altitude encoders and interconnecting cables.

Or, you can watch the Mode A and Mode C pulses at the same time.

Of course, the Airsport PRO still has all the altitude alert features originally designed for the pilot. It includes altitude preset capability, approach functions, rate of climb and much more. Now, SPONDER-SCOPE serves the technician with a convenience not available in any other equipment.
